Neat Silicone Base Oils are fluids that meet a wide variety of needs in applications with viscosities ranging from 100 cst to 6, 00,000 cst, and ultra-high molecular weight. Polymethylsiloxanes (PDMS) are used in these applications because of their ability to reproduce features down to the submicron level and they are available in optically clear grades that are generally considered to be inert, non-toxic and nonflammable.

Most Polymethylsiloxanes (PDMS) use a platinum catalyst for curing which allows processing at high temperatures and reduced curing time.
